36h in New York

My wife deserved a break, she had been full on with our youngest for several years and I wanted to take her away. I was told I was allowed to plan something for just 1 night, so was planning to make the most of it.

We left early morning and started celebrating in the lounge at heathrow, I had warned a nap was advisable as the evening was prepared.

We exited JFK and headed for the city, we were staying at Moxy NYC which was buzzing with NYC energy.

After checking in we had a quick change, and then onwards for a bite to eat then a broadway show.

the next day we headed downtown and took part in a one shot polaroid experience

Our guide showed us how to use the 1920s polaroid cameras and how to focus and compose good NYC style shots. That activity has really stuck in my mind.

We headed uptown towards central park for lunch and the next adventure.

NYC Highline

We walked, using the NYC high-line as a traffic free route. At central park we then took part in a sights and senses tour, a slightly more eccentric tour, but none the less interesting.

To wrap up we then headed back to the hotel, to pick up our bag, enjoy a glass of fizz to then head back home.
